Pupils at Bridstow CE Primary School near Ross-on-Wye celebrated Easter just before the break with a special Easter service held at St Bridget’s church in Bridstow.
Whilst the older children completed readings and a jointly performed poem, other highlights included singing and art work from some of the younger classes, the culmination of the celebrations being a specially prepared dance – encapsulating the life of Jesus - performed by the children from Class 3 (Years 3-4).
Headteacher, Dan Brearey, said: “As a Church of England School, it is important to mark the significant points in the Christian calendar. Easter is a time that helps remind us of the importance of re-birth and new life. The celebration was also a good opportunity to show-case some of the work that the school has done in the wider curriculum; a great example of this being the wonderful final dance performed by our Y3 and 4 class – a fitting end to the celebration.
“The school is now looking forward to a busy but rewarding summer term.”
