PARENTS and carers with children who were born between September 1, 2020 and August 31, 2021, are being urged to apply for their child’s primary school reception class place for September 2025, before the deadline passes.

You must still apply for a reception class place, even if you already have a place in the nursery associated with your preferred school. Failure to submit an application could result in your child not being offered a place in a preferred school. The closing date for all primary school reception class applications is midnight on January 15.

It’s quick and easy to apply. Applications can be completed online at Herefordshire.gov.reception-class-admissions.
