Ross & District Cycling Club's took part in possibly the hardest, long distance race, the Abergavenny and back time trial.

It goes along the old main road by way of Broad Oak, Skenfrith and other assorted climbs, and returns along the former A40 to Raglan and Monmouth, where the riders join the main road for a 'traffic assisted' ride to finish at the last lay-by before Wilton roundabout.

The sky was overcast for the start and there was a short shower just past Skenfrith. The morning brightened up and the return from Abergavenny was made under clearing skies and sunshine.
