In the last twelve months Ross Sub Aqua Club has welcomed yet more members, who have successfully graduated from novices to ocean-qualified divers. Those who joined the year before have already progressed further, learning new talents; including boat-handling and first aid, as well as building on their diving skills.
In 2008 members dived around the British Isles, including the beautiful and dramatic coastlines of Cornwall and Western Scotland.
In August they dived around the Island of Mull, as guests of Puffin divers, who came down in July to train the TV presenter Kate Humble at the National Diving Centre near Chepstow. Their own trainees were also there, preparing for their exploration of wrecks in the English Channel.
Ross Sub Aqua Club (RSAC) is a branch of the British Sub Aqua Club (BSAC), the world's most prestigious dive organisation. For over fifty years, the Ross divers have offered full training at all levels, as well as the opportunity to dive some of the great dive sites around the world in a friendly and relaxed environment, including the stunning Red Sea, recently featured in the BBC's "Ocean" series. There is a varied mix of members, both men and women, of all ages (ranging from mid-teens to mid-sixties) and all levels of experience.
