Over the weekend firecrackers were let off in Chase Wood, in Ross-on-Wye, which caused a loud bang and a lot of smoke.
Youths in the town had purchased fireworks online that are illegal in this country and set them off in the woods on Sunday, July 12th.
The culprits posted pictures of their explosives and a video of the explosion on the photo sharing app, Instagram.
Police Constable Richard Barradale-Smith, told the Ross Gazette, on Monday: “I have spoken to two of the perpetrators, who told me they had four of the explosives and they have been set off.”
However, on Monday night two more were set off in Chase Wood at around 7.00pm.
