Many local residents have received a leaflet through their door introducing their Safer Neighbourhood Teams (SNT).
Leaflets are being distributed within local communities to explain the services provided by the SNTs and giving contact details so that anyone who needs advice or policing support can contact their local police officers.
Every community has a local policing Safer Neighbourhood Team which works with local people and partner organisations to identify and address specific local concerns, tackle crime and make communities safer.
The campaign supports West Mercia Police’s ongoing work to help local policing officers to be more available and visible on our streets, making it easier for people to contact them when they need help and ensuring that everyone that needs help receives the right support as quickly as possible.
Superintendent for Herefordshire, Susan Thomas, said; “Our Safer Neighbourhood Teams are based locally in stations around West Mercia and focus on matters that are important to each local community. I would encourage anyone needing advice on reducing crime and protecting themselves, their family and property, to contact our teams directly to make an appointment. Individual contact details are visible in our front counters, making our staff accessible to all.”
