Nearly 300 competitors took part in North Gloucestershire Orienteering Club's recent District event on Sunday, January 11th. The day started frosty and dry but exceedingly windy in the assembly field above Cranham Village. The registration team had great difficulty holding their tent down and all the paper work in the correct place as people entered the seven available courses. However, the competitiors fared rather better as once in the woods the wind was much less obvious. Participants had come from as far away as Cornwall and Sheffield.
